About This Accommodation
The Kimberley, in the northern part of Western Australia, is a spectacularly pristine and diverse wilderness area that boasts over 2,600 small islands, coral reefs, mangrove forests, rivers, gorges and a diverse range of bird and marine life, including the world’s largest population of humpback whales! There is simply no better way to experience this area than on the 18-passenger luxury cruise boat Kimberley Quest II.
The agile yacht is able to access shallow and narrow waterways, and for any area that’s unreachable on the Quest, a guided excursion on a tender vessel gets you right where you need to go. Activities include: fishing, whale watching, swimming, nature walks, discovering ancient rock art, basking on a deserted beach, relaxing on board the vessel and, for the grand finale, a scenic helicopter over the Kimberley that takes off from the helipad on the Quest’s top deck. The activities really embrace the jaw-dropping scenery and wildlife of this incredibly biodiverse region.
When you are not exploring on land or by small boat, you can appreciate the spacious deck and indoor lounge with full viewing windows, so you never have to take your eyes off your surroundings. There is also a spa, indoor and outdoor dining areas, an extensive library and plenty of areas to curl up with a drink, book or board game. With simple amenities and vibrant décor, the four room categories are spread across the three decks. Flybridge Cabin on the top deck is the most spacious. The main deck has four Superior Cabins while the lower deck has Double and Twin Cabins. Although the Flybridge Cabin is one of our favorites, staying in one of the lower deck cabins is best for people who are susceptible to seasickness.
Expeditions range from 6 to 14-days from March thru September only.
