Highlights

Morocco is like a tree nourished by roots deep in the soils of Africa which breathes through foliage rustling to the winds of Europe. | King Hassan II.

Morocco is such an incredibly diverse country that we simply couldn’t pick just one or two destinations… So we picked 6! This itinerary is not for the faint of heart. It’s an extensive exploration of one of the most exotic places we have ever been.

First up is Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Visit medieval forts, Moorish gardens and 17th century royal residences before dinner at a former Governor’s property to meet with the owner’s family and hear their story. In the morning, travel to Fez, where you will stay at the opulent Palais Faraj, but first, stop at a vineyard for a Moroccan winetasting. Explore excavated ruins and UNESCO world heritage sites, as well as old handicraft centers, where artisans craft their goods the same way as their ancestors… Fez is bursting at the seams with history and culture!

Then, escape the city by way of the Moroccan Sahara. Spend one night at Gold Sand Camp, where you will be greeted by the local folkloric band, before venturing to the luxurious Dar Ahlam. For you active travelers, camelback safaris, Quad Biking and dune buggies are available at both Gold Sand Camp and Dar Ahlam.

Return to the hustle and bustle of one of Morocco’s most happening cities – Marrakesh. Spend two nights at the magnificent La Villa des Orangers experiencing the souks in the Medina by day and lively entertainment in the ville nouvelle (new city) by night. Finally, spend two nights at Richard Branson’s luxury hotel, Kasbah Tamadot, in the Atlas Mountains. Here you can hike, rejuvenate and relax in one of the most beautiful areas in the country.
