Classic Botswana

with Victoria Falls

Highlights

Experience must-see Botswana on this eight-night safari, including two nights in Zambia at one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World!

Begin in Livingstone, Zambia to witness the splendor of Victoria Falls – “the Smoke that Thunders.” The greatest curtain of falling water in the world, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is truly a wonder to behold, rich in beauty, culture, and adventure activities. Stay at Toka Leya Camp, which overlooks the Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a mere 12km from the Falls. Spend your days learning about the history of the Falls on a guided tour, microlight for an unforgettable bird’s-eye-view, river raft the mighty Zambezi, visit local villages or the museum. Back at camp, soak in the views from the expansive wooden deck or take a dip in the pool.

Next, journey into Botswana for exceptional wildlife viewing. Spend three nights at Savuti Camp in the Linyanti Concession. This intimate seven-tent camp sits along the Savute Channel, which draws plains game and predators from the surrounding mopane woodlands, and promises exciting interactions. When not enjoying the views from camp, venture out on daily game drives in search of elephant, lion, serval, zebra, hyena and more. The camp sits on a private concession, so guests also have the option of guided bush walks to explore on foot. Boating and fishing (seasonal) are excellent additional options to experience the area’s rich wildlife.

From Linyanti, make your way to the western edge of the Okavango Delta for three nights at Tubu Tree. Set on Hunda Island, this traditional safari camp is built on elevated wooden walkways that connect each of the eight luxury tents, all with private views of the surrounding floodplains. This is the perfect spot to explore from. Relish the magic of the region’s waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), or seek out hippo and crocodile by motorized boat (water level dependent). Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles are, of course, a staple for spying the likes of leopard, lion, elephant, kudu, giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala and so much more.
