About This Accommodation

With 2.5 miles of lakeshore frontage, Changa Safari Camp is situated in a private concession within the famed Matusadona National Park on Lake Kariba. The beauty of Changa is in its simplicity. The spacious East African style tents have been designed with comfort, style, and functionality in mind. There are six double tents and two family tents, each with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor baths and showers, and private verandahs.

There are four separate guest areas; a strikingly decorated lounge, dining area, bar, and a really pretty pool deck; which have been designed to seamlessly blend into their surroundings. At night guests dine around a beautiful candlelit table on the beach, beside the pool, or on the main deck. Private dining is available upon request.

Activities are many and varied. Explore the Lake Kariba shoreline, creeks, and estuaries by boat, vehicle, or on foot. Inland the terrain becomes far more rugged with rivers and dry river beds. This is rhino territory and makes for exciting walking. A boat cruise down the rocky, steep-sided Sanyati Gorge is a great way to spend a leisurely afternoon. Birding and fishing for tiger and bream are also popular. With a blissfully relaxing atmosphere Changa has that special something. In our opinion it is good for families and perfect for honeymooners and those who want to switch off in an area of great natural beauty.
