About This Accommodation

Chindeni Bushcamp is one of the more luxurious properties in Luangwa. It is a charming property set amongst tamarind and ebony trees, overlooking a dam. The camp is open May to early November and runs on solar power.

The camp’s main areas include a breakfast spot on the shores of the dam and a decked lounge and covered dining area with extensive views over the water. You can sip sundowners while viewing the water birds, elephant and hippos. The four spacious chalets are canvas with earthy and tasteful décor, each containing private decks with stunning vistas. We love Chindeni, particularly the aesthetics of the camp.

If you are arriving on a late flight into the park, we recommend you overnight at Mfuwe before traveling to remote Chindeni. Chindeni is usually combined with another one of the Bushcamp Company camps (Bilimungwe, Chamilandu, Kuyenda, Kapamba, Zungulila) to ensure a well-rounded safari itinerary that also tends to focus on walking.

What Our Clients Think

Exquisite and wonderful, with guides who truly became friends in the brief time we were all together. And I credit our guide Peter at Chindeni for orchestrating the most spectacular birthday ever... we had not been out but a few minutes on our morning drive when a wild dog just trotted out on the path to greet us, followed by a few more, and then we found a whole pack of over twenty chasing about on a huge open area while impalas and kudus improbably looked on."

We will forever be indebted to our guide, Peter, for the deep knowledge we gained in just a matter of days, of this land we never knew before, and of all its magnificent denizens."
