Mount Gahinga Lodge is located in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, in the foothills of 3 dominant volcanoes: Muhavura, Sabinyo, and Mgahinga. The main areas consist of a lounge with a fireplace, an outdoor verandah, and an indoor sunroom, all of which invite guests together at the end of the day. Each of the 9 stone bandas have en-suite bathrooms and fireplaces and are all quite private as they are a short walk away from the main lodge. This is a rustic lodge, not the most gorgeous, but it gets the job done very nicely.

Mount Gahinga is the best place if you’re looking to have a cultural experience with the Batwa. You are able to have a multitude of authentic experiences including a heritage visit, a community visit, a visit to their vocational center, and a dance performance. Mount Gahinga also offers gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking, volcano hikes, and a complimentary massage!
