Ndali Lodge

Ndali Lodge in Kibale National Park is a real gem. On one side you can see Queen Elizabeth National Park and a pristine crater lake to the other. The lodge consists of 8 cottages which are simple yet cozy and beautifully decorated. The cottages are large enough to accommodate a family and come equipped with a bath, shower, and a private veranda. The main lodge is decorated with regional artifacts and handcrafted furniture. It’s incredibly warm, cozy, and soulful. There is no electricity on site (cottages have solar-powered lights only) so dinners in the main lodge are served by candle-light. We love the homemade special touches such as freshly squeezed passion fruit juice, homemade ginger tea and gingersnap cookies.

Ndali Lodge is a major advocate for responsible tourism. Not only are they a “green lodge”, but they are actively involved in community projects.

We love both Ndali Lodge and its neighboring Kyaninga Lodge. Kyaninga has more amenities and Ndali is more soulful. Both are excellent options with great service and easy access to the chimps of Kibale.
