About This Accommodation
Ndali Lodge in Kibale National Park is a real gem. The setting is gorgeous where to one side you can see Queen Elizabeth National Park and a pristine crater lake to the other. The lodge consists of 8 cottages which are simple but cozy and beautifully decorated. The cottages are large enough to accommodate a family and come equip with a bath, shower, and a private verandah. The main lodge is beautifully decorated with regional artifacts and handcrafted furniture. It’s incredibly warm, cozy, and soulful. Having no electricity on site (cottages have solar-powered lights), dinners in the main lodge are completely candlelit, which is really romantic. We love the homemade special touches like freshly squeezed passion fruit juice and homemade ginger tea and gingersnap cookies.
Ndali Lodge is a major advocate for responsible tourism. Not only are they a very green lodge, but they are heavily involved community projects such as the operation of a local vanilla plantation.
We love both Ndali Lodge and its neighboring Kyaninga Lodge. Kyaninga has the advantage in slightly better amenities, but Ndali is more soulful. Both are excellent options with great service and easy access to the chimps of Kibale.
