About This Accommodation

Simple, quality craftsmanship, high ceilings, pastel palettes and soft angles seamlessly blend Aiyana with the natural beauty of Pemba Island. It’s like staying in paradise, or entering another world altogether (or so we hear from happy travelers).

At Aiyana, there is no set agenda. Rather, peace and relaxation are the goals, and everything else is according to your whims. Soak in the sun on the white sandy beach or wander the length of the pristine sandbars. Rejuvenate with a massage onsite or refresh with a dip in the crystalline waters of the Indian Ocean. Feeling active? The coral reefs surrounding the island are virtually untouched, offering exceptional snorkeling and diving for the intrepid traveler. Here, slow down, kick back and forget about the outside world.

The resort is comprised of 30 villas with sea views, and bathrooms that intermingle with private gardens. Every villa is spacious and features a king size bed, greeting pavilion, outdoor sala, separate bathtub and outdoor shower, as well as front and rear gardens and his/her vanity. Upgraded suites include a private infinity pool, covered verandah and living/dining areas.

The Aiyana is a short 30-minute flight from Zanzibar. This is the perfect choice for safari-goers who want to combine bush and beach without country hopping.

What Our Clients Think

The Aiyana was stunning...and photos don't do it justice... We did the private sandbar excursion and it was fantastic! We had a crew of three people take us snorkeling and then to a private sandbar where they prepared sushi and watermelon for us... We've always said the Maldives is the most beautiful place we have been to, but The Aiyana easily rivals it. It's a haul to get to, but 100% worth it."
