Located on Zanzibar’s east coast on Bwejuu Beach, one of the top beaches in the world, Breezes Beach Club and Spa is a welcoming oasis for beach lovers. This is one of our favorite large hotels for the stunning beach, terrific activities and relaxed vibe. We often use Breezes for families or anyone who is budget-conscious after their safari. The rooms aren’t the most impressive, but the main areas are incredibly welcoming. Zanzibari and Eastern décor fuse together in the sea- or garden-facing rooms, each with their own terrace or balcony.

Everyone who has stayed at Breezes has been pleasantly surprised, as it sounds like a resort on paper but it feels much more authentic in reality.

With 4 restaurants, a coffee lounge, and private seaside dining, you’ll never feel too crowded as there are plenty of dining and lounging options. We like The Sultan’s Table, an elevated gourmet seafood restaurant. But be aware, there is a dress code at all restaurants.

Breezes is an expansive hotel offering peace and relaxation with all the comforts of home, in addition to a gym, tennis court, educational cultural programs, and a kids club. An elegant spa offers a wide range of amazing treatments and the PADI dive center has National Geographic accreditation for being safe and environmentally conscious.

Breezes is perfect for families and those seeking activities – so long as they are not concerned with being in a big establishment. It’s also great value for money.
