About This Accommodation

Klein’s Camp is located in the Northern Serengeti where the migration resides between June and October. Klein’s Camp is a permanent camp so during the months outside of the migration, the area quiets down but Big Five game-viewing remains good.

Ten stone and wood rondavels have private verandahs with views overlooking the world famous Serengeti. We like this feature but find the rest of the accommodation to be rather basic given its price tag. The rondavels are also quite a distance from the main areas and the pool, which would be a major drawback for some.

The main advantage to Klein’s Camp is the fact that it is in its own private conservancy and therefore offers private day and night game drives and walks. It is disappointing that the rest of the experience doesn’t match with the location – rooms, food, and service are average at best.

What Our Clients Think

Second favorite camp, lovely public areas and best breakfasts."

Very comfortable room and view was great. Driver was awesome!"

Amazing staff. The open air Jeep was the best. Our guide was amazing!"

Though this was the roughest car ride to the camp, it was the most enjoyable for me. I only wish we could have had at least three to four nights there. The vista was amazing. It was the first lodge where we wanted to spend time out on our porch area. We were able to see many of the animals from our porch area... The lounge was a great place to hang and view the vistas and animals; unfortunately we did not have enough time to fully enjoy it. The lunches were my favorite over dinner. The staff was delightful. This was the best camp to see animals, morning, noon and night, most likely because it was a concession camp, which permitted our ranger to go anywhere. I would return to Klein’s camp and recommend it to friends."

I painted the view from my lodge! It was that gorgeous."

What a great location in the Serengeti. Loved the lodge and dining huts. The food was excellent and the rooms were phenomenal."
