About This Accommodation
Situated between Tarangire and Manyara, Manyara Ranch resides within a 35,000-acre conservancy which is a major migration corridor. It is kept open thanks to the dedication and efforts of the African Wildlife Foundation and the Tanzania Land Conservation Trust. We value the work the property does with the local community and their incredible conservation efforts. Manyara Ranch Conservancy is not a super luxury destination, but the accomodations are classic tented suites with good beds and the kitchen produces delicious food. Even better, you are guaranteed good guiding and game-viewing, and a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The ranch’s six traditional safari-style canvas tents provide comfortable accommodation with en-suite bathrooms. Fly camping is also available from Manyara Ranch. The major draw to the ranch is its wide array of activities including open-vehicle game drives, guided bush walks, game-viewing hides, night drives, horseback riding through the reserve, community visits, and cultural activities with the local Maasai.
The wildlife is adequate (and a few on our staff have had fantastic sightings here), and we feel confident that it’ll improve with time. April, May, and November are the rainy seasons, so while it is lush and beautiful, game is harder to spot.
