About This Accommodation

The Singita brand is synonymous with the ultimate luxury safari experience. Singita Boulders (sister camp to nearby Ebony) is built on a huge boulder on the banks of the Sabi River within the exclusive Sabi Sands Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. It is one of the world’s most sought after lodges, thanks to its superb decor, attentive service and excellent game viewing.

The expansive areas are tastefully decorated using natural fibers in muted colors, stone and wood. The lodge is modern, open and inviting. Each suite includes open-plan bathrooms, a lounge, fire place, decks with heated pools and outdoor showers. Some rooms overlook the Sand River while others are facing an active waterhole. The lodge's wine cellar caters to the most discerning of guests and the wines compliment the outstanding cuisine. And it's aesthetically interesting as it incorporates the giant boulders that the lodge was built on. Food is equally as impressive. As one would expect, there is a great exercise room and spa, in-room massages, swimming pool and a superb gift boutique. The staff accommodates well to couples and families with small children alike.

The lodge is in a very large private concession in the best game-viewing area. You are almost guaranteed leopard and lion sightings within a three day stay. Guests can enjoy game drives, guided bush walks and mountain biking within the concession.

You can see the nearby village and lights while on game drives, which does break the sense of remoteness. Aside from that, Singita can’t really be faulted and we highly recommend this property. For a more remote experience we sometimes pair Singita Boulders with Singita Lebombo or Singita Sweni which are in a remote area inside Kruger.

What Our Clients Think

Singita was by far the best hospitality experience that we've ever had anywhere in the world (and we've done a fair bit of luxury travel). The rooms at Boulders were beautiful, as was everything else at the lodge. Our guide and tracker were really good at tracking/explaining things along the way and we were lucky enough to see all of the Big 5 and more in just 2 days. The safari car was only us and 1 other older couple, who we enjoyed being with. The food was endless and consistently impressed us - better than many of our favorite restaurants at home and always a wide variety of options (and willingness to accommodate off menu requests, extra entrees/side dishes to try, etc.). The service experience really blew us away - there was never a moment that we didn't feel taken care of by our butler and the other staff members and it was all done in a very professional but friendly way. We didn't do much by way of activities other than a wine tasting - the Boulders wine cellar is very cool and it was nice to try some local wines and then pair them with dinner later on in the night."

This was the best of all the places we stayed. Service, facilities, food, outstanding!"

The game experiences here were amazing."

The overall Singita experience was the highlight of the trip - being a 5 star (or higher, if that were an option)."

Singita Boulders - absolutely amazing and luxurious. Honestly my expectations were so high and they certainly exceeded them. Game viewing was great - we saw lots of animals and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Food was so delicious and spa was great. Our villa/room was so beautiful - Singita just goes over and beyond to make it an unforgettable stay."
