About This Accommodation

Savanna Lodge is located in the Sabi Sands Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park and provides tasteful, well-appointed partially-tented rooms with plunge pools and private patio areas. Attractive bathrooms contain Victorian baths, filled in invitation on your return from an evening game drive.

Children are welcome and daycare is provided so adults can enjoy their game drives without worrying about the kids getting restless. There is a nice communal feel where most meals are had together - whether in the dining room, the boma, the bush, or in their restored classic rail car.

Savanna is a cost-effective option in the Sabi Sands and we are impressed by the game experience as well as the professional rangers. The vehicles, however, usually have 6 or more people on board, and the fence around the concession is quite noticeable, as are lights from the nearby township, which detracts from the sense of being in the wild.

Savanna Lodge is now a favorite of ours. It is competitively priced and has the luxury, good service and comfort you would expect from a private lodge.
