Southern Sun OR Tambo
Southern Sun OR Tambo, is an excellent airport hotel. Our clients don’t typically choose to spend time in Johannesburg other than perhaps an overnight on arrival if their international flight comes in late. For these clients this is a great option. It’s well-appointed, it’s within close proximity to the airport, and it has all of the facilities that a large hotel should have. Their rooms are far above average for regular airport hotels. The king-sized beds are comfortable and the blackout curtains and soundproof walls ensure a good night’s sleep. There is a great source of natural light from all sides of the building. If you have time between flights, their pool and spa are worth checking out. Overall, this is a convenient and excellent option for those who just need to overnight in Johannesburg before heading out on safari. It’s also cheaper than the InterContinental.
