Tintswalo Atlantic
Tintswalo Atlantic is located in Hout Bay, 30 minutes from Cape Town and 15 minutes from the Constantia Winelands. It is set right on the bay and offers stunning ocean views. The upper rooms have amazing ocean views, and the lower rooms have beautiful decks that bring you close to the water’s edge. The rooms themselves are themed, and we find that they go slightly overboard, but they’re perfectly comfortable, and the setting and service make up for any faults in the decor. The staff at Tintswalo Atlantic gives you the same attentive, welcoming, and warm service as you’d get at an exclusive safari lodge, which really adds to the experience at Tintswalo Atlantic.
This is the perfect property for anyone who’s interested in seeing Cape Town but would prefer a more relaxed, secluded, and serene accommodation to those available downtown or along Cape Town’s waterfront. The romantic soundtrack of the nearby waves makes it easy to curl up in front of the fireplace in your room during the temperamental winter months and the pool deck overlooking the water makes for an excellent summer hideaway. There is also a great local market on the weekend, which we would recommend visiting. This is a bit more off the beaten path for a Cape Town property, but we absolutely love it.
