Wolwedans Dune Camp

Wolwedans Dune Camp rests on the edge of a 250-meter-high dune within the 494,000-acre Namib-Rand Nature Reserve in Namibia.

With only six tents in the camp, there is an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The tents even have private decks that allow you to sleep out under the stars. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with running hot water. A downside is that the tents are quite close together, so we wouldn’t necessarily recommend this camp to honeymooners.

The main tent has a lounge, dining room, and open-plan kitchen, allowing you to chat with the chef while they prepare your amazing meals. Wolwedans allows you to be as active or relaxed as you like, with scenic drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon safaris, horseback riding, and a village visit are all available to you.

We love how eco-friendly the Wolwedans properties are. They pipe all of their water from the ground to each property, use solar power, and have large vegetable gardens. They are happy to show how they operate in such a way, which is really quite impressive.
