Mowani Mountain Camp

Mowani Mountain Camp sits atop a hill with views out to Damaraland‘s spectacular landscape, perfect for sundowners! Resting among huge boulders, the rooms have thatched roofs and canvas walls and are beautifully decorated. There are 12 standard rooms, two honeymoon suites, and one luxury suite that even has a private butler. Comparable to Camp Kipwe for its layout and design concept, Mowani Mountain Camp is larger but doesn’t feel overcrowded, and, in general, we find that it is superior to Kipwe in most aspects. With amazing food and at half the price of similar properties, we think Mowani Mountain Camp is great. However, if you’re looking to maximize your budget, Camp Kipwe will be a great alternative. Likewise, if you have a little extra to spend, we think it may be worth the upgrade to Damaraland Camp, which delivers a high-end experience.

The area has plenty of places to go hiking and desert elephant trekking, and you can easily access the Twyfelfontein rock art, Burnt Mountain, and Organ Pipes.
