About This Accommodation
Explore Morocco’s capital city of Marrakech from La Sultana, a small boutique hotel in the heart of the old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sumptuous hotel is within easy walking distance of the medina’s centuries of history, including the famed Jemaa El Fna square, the Saadian Tombs, the Royal Palaces and the Bahia Palace. Wander maze-like alleys, visit local souks, and take in the abundance of sights, sounds, and smells. When not exploring the marvels of the city, we particularly loved soaking in the ancient city views from La Sultana’s rooftop terrace. Pro Tip: Sign up for one of La Sultana’s rooftop cooking classes to enjoy the views while learning about (and enjoying!) traditional Moroccan food.
Made-up of five separate riads – a traditional Moroccan house with a central patio – La Sultana feels like its own small world. It houses 28 bedrooms or suites, each with its own design and decoration. While the décor may be over the top for some of our travelers, others will find it extravagant in all the most sumptuous ways. Facilities include outdoor heated swimming pool, meeting rooms, boutique and library, lounge, bar, spa, and gym.
