Xigera Camp

Located in Botswana‘s Okavango Delta, Xigera is a relaxing and beautiful camp. Comfortable canvas tents are connected to the open-plan main lounge and dining room via wooden walkways. Visitors can relax on the viewing decks overlooking the floodplains or around a fire, soaking up the ambiance of this precious place.

Being a water camp, guests can glide through the surrounding waterways on mokoros in search of the resident wildlife. Guests admire the smallest and most unassuming to the larger and more imposing animals. From the tree frog and Pel’s fishing owl to buffalo and elephant – the Delta’s unique landscape is home to a wide variety of fascinating species. In saying that, game-viewing can sometimes be limited as this used to be a hunting concession. For that reason, we think that two nights at Xigera is enough time to explore the region and appreciate the camp.

We love Xigera for its great service, rustic style, and beautiful setting. We recommend it as a great water camp, and a good spot for avid birders.
