About This Accommodation

Located in a private concession on the Delta’s Pom Pom Island, this camp borders Moremi. Among its other resident wildlife, leopard sightings come in high volumes from Pom Pom guests.

Traditional canvas tents are comfortable and the thatch and wood main areas are where guests congregate during meals and enjoy their sundowners around an open campfire. The camp has a pool where you can soak up the sun when you’re not game viewing or floating through the serene waterways on a mokoro in search of the resident animals and birdlife. We found the camp décor a little dark, but with the recent refurbishment is it looking better. However, Pom Pom is well-priced and offers good value for money.

Pom Pom has a family tent and accepts children over eight years of age. It was actually the first camp in Botswana that Elizabeth visited as a child.

As with most water camps, the environment is tranquil and soothing. We think a 2-night stay at Pom Pom gives you enough time to take full advantage of the camp and the wildlife of the region.
