Mashatu Tented Camp
Mashatu Tented Camp, is the sister camp to Mashatu Lodge, also in the Mashatu Game Reserve, and a 45-minute vehicle transfer from the Lodge. The 8 luxury tents are situated in the trees along the Nyaswe River. The camp is more rustic than Mashatu Lodge, yet very comfortable with a boma area and plunge pool. Each tent is mounted on a concrete platform and has its own private outdoor en-suite facilities, including W.C. and shower.
A sturdy and shady hide overlooks a floodlit, well-populated waterhole is perfect for photographers, amateurs and professionals alike. Set out on game drives in open-air safari vehicles in search of lions, hyenas and elephants, to name but a few. Stretch your legs on a bike ride through the plains to spot giraffes and zebras. Multi-night horseback expeditions are an option and a real treat, allowing an intimate glimpse into this special wilderness; or slow things down with a guided walk through the bush. For the adventurous trekker, nature-lover or birder, there’s an abundance of experiences to be had on your own two feet.
