Join renowned Wildlife Photographer Warren Samuels in Masai Mara

A picture is worth a thousand words – a picture in the heart of Africa’s Great Plains in Kenya is, arguably, worth more.

EJ Africa is very excited to be able to offer an amazing series of safaris where you will learn to capture wildlife photos like a pro. Set off on a 6 or 7-night safari at Governors’ Private Camp, one of the longest established camps in the Masai Mara, while honing your wildlife photography skills alongside world-renowned photographer, filmmaker and wildlife guide Warren Samuels. He’ll teach you how to use shooting angle, light, lens openings and more to create amazing photos that capture the moment like the pros do. But best of all, he knows all the cat and elephant families and how to get you up close and at the perfect angle for those amazing shots.

The Mara plays host to the spectacular wildebeest and zebra migration during July - October, meaning lions and other predators are never far away. And Governor’s Private Camp is in the very heart of the action … renowned as the base for much of the filming of The Big Cat Diaries. The camp is nestled in the forests along the banks of the Mara River at a spot teeming with hippo. On occasion, the wildebeest have been known to cross the Mara River right in front of Camp!

Photographic tips are provided on game drives as well as in more formal activities back in camp that include evening slideshows of wildlife photography that illustrate examples of good wildlife shots, client ‘image appraisal’ sessions and screenings of wildlife documentaries in which Warren has been involved, presented in conjunction with a brief lecture on the “making of” of each particular film.

About Warren Samuels
